I saw something similar a few years ago in a magazine I read. The manufacturers are awfully proud of their work ($$$)
Trust me, there are people out there who are just dying to shell out cash for any kind of bolt-on truck/four-wheeling/outdoors accessory they can get their hands on. Outdoor shower tanks that attach to the truck, rooftop tents, weird moose-pusher bumpers, you name it. I like camping but that stuff is just made to waste people's money. I doubt most of the owners of that kind of crap actually use it more than three or four times a year.
I bought a hammock stand at a yard sale for $10 in the summer. I cut it up & then cut & drilled some 1/4" plate to make for some hinge gussets. I just have to drill corresponding holes in the "former" stands pipes & assemble.
