Beautiful bladderwort vistas! I had to go look them up--to see a single flower--and was surprised to find that they're carnivorous. Our laurels have finished blooming, one of my favorites, so it's nice to see the cheerful faces on yours. And I especially like the dewberry shot--the way you caught its delicate shadows. Thanks once again.

Great stuff Pancoast--every one of them! I like the black bird. If you look you can tell the tree is leaning away from you at the top (at least it appears to me).

a village...in the pines
Boy, that hawk is eyeing you up! What an ecclectic mix of beauty from every angle..... I think I'm drawn to the weightlessness of the dragonfly pic and the endless sea of stars at the end. It reminds me that I'll be camping for the meteor showers in August.... :)

Thanks, turtle

I'll have you know the last one does not show the pines, but somewhere out there let us hope there is a place just as nice. I really appreciate the photo's and how well they turned out. Very nice!

This group was especially nice in my mind. Driving though your town yesterday I was thinking that I have been missing your photo's on the site as of late, but a pleasant surprise awaited me when I arrived home. We do have a group of individuals here who really make the visual aspect of the barrens come alive, and you are one of them.

I was out at the northern most lake in Stafford Forge yesterday and I see a repeat of the levy failure about to happen at that lake in the next year... The culverts are still functioning but the snags and logs in the way are a sign the culverts will soon be clogged and undermined. The only benefit I see is it will cut off one of the party spots where trash and empties are a huge stain on the natural wonder. Yet that cuts off the area to me and other nature minded people that I don't like... :-(

I saw this bird land on a hawks back yesterday at that lake and give it a good pecking... you can just see his head while he is 'riding' in the right picture.

I think the fishing sequence panels are interesting, but the Bobwhite shot is remarkable for its elegance--a lovely bird set in spun-silver grasses.

Thank you for these and many other beauties through the year!

I agree. And to be even more precise (but much less poetic)... a lovely bird set in Schizachyrium scoparium, Euthamia tenuifolia, and Panicum virgatum.
