Nice! It seems beavers have Alzheimer's since they seem to forget about the trees they cut down.

Marvelous shots ...

Pheasants against snow-- elegant contrast!

Red Tail with attitude -- fun!

Forsythe residents -- so very classy!
(What's that snow goose been digging into?)

Hooded mergansers -- perfectly coifed, as always.
I sometimes wonder whether they tend to their remarkable headdress the first thing every morning, in case of a photo-op.

And then the sliver of moon against rumpled clouds and the splendid bowed heaven-and-earth scene. I don't even want to know how you did it. Just let me sit and look ...

Thank you.

Beautiful photos by Pancoast and lovely descriptions by Glo. The description of the Mergansers caused this little nugget to break loose from my brain.

is that a speck of my blood or yours Guy I think I see on photo 3?

Maybe even my pants. Last weekend the briers ripped 4 holes in mine almost taking off my pant legs. I had to buy new pants.

It looks good. The dried blood made it look worse than it actually was.

These are such intriguing, creative perspectives, even the dreadful thorny #3.
You grabbed, me though, with that hopeful nest surrounded by budding branches.
Spring really is coming, right? Can't wait!
