I shot two vultures in a tree at midday near the Gun Branch. Nice, but they weren't that scary. The moon is from a shot earlier this year on the Mullica.

Jon, the details on that vulture and tree are so vivid. The moon is very cool too. It looks like I am at a museum looking through a glass case of a stuffed bird on display. Nice work!
I think Buzzards are considered birds of prey.Shooting them could be a hefty fine.On the other hand if you have a gun that can shoot the moon the military may want to talk to you
Jon I loved this shot when you posted it on facebook and now getting to see it larger here I love it even more. Great concept that could be a movie poster or book cover.
Hey Rich, nice to see you here. The Facebook upload algorithm seems to seriously degrade images. Even in focus images look out of focus.
While working on this image, I've been thinking quite a bit about what constitutes a photo vs. artwork. Exposure blending, luminosity masking, cloning, the patch tool, compositing, focus stacking, even the Lightroom adjustments seriously complicate and expand what is possible.
I am beginning to think the distinctions are becoming so blurry that they are irrelevant or at least, very hard to define.
