It looks like he/she is. Dragonflies are fascinating, every shot of a new one reveals an unseen world. Plus they are predators.

...do you have any idea what shutter speed you used to freeze the motion in its wings?

Thanks Tim. He was not moving his wings that much, but there was a stiff breeze blowing his wings and the branch all over the place. Focus was extremely difficult that day. f/7.1, 1/250 sec., ISO 160, 100mm Tokina macro lens.

Since I shoot primarily landscapes, shooting insects and animals are a challenge for me. It hones my skills to do some real photography.
