Well, there has been an agreement of sale and West Jersey Cranberry Meadow will have a new owner. Let me read over the info later today.

Looks like it’s going to keep the Viking woods name, guy is the EVP of Viking Yachts. Probably bought it to hunt. Would love to get access to that property.

I agree with Dragon.

Sometimes one person buys it with the intention of selling it soon after to another, or after buying it they become disillusioned with it for some reason. No matter what, there is not much they can do with the place so it is fairly safe I would think.
 
Wouldn't it have been nice if the state spent $1.25M on acquiring this tract and absorbing it into Wharton, rather than spending probably close to that money on this whole multi-year campaign to close roads?

I was thinking the same thing. You would think a property near mullica river headwaters would be a priority. Especially considering the amount ofacreage. Seems the ownership family is the same as prior so maybe it wasn’t really for sale for long. It also sold for above the ask I believe, so maybe the state was outbid.
 
It is only an agreement of sale. I doubt it has been sold yet. There is no mention of the sale price.
