Wet Forest - Formerly Known as Dry Forest

Missed another one, been pretty dry here. Nothing substantial forecast for the next week either. At least we get a nice break in temps!

Precipitation totals for the past 7 days. Interesting to see the changed pattern, I'm in one of the heavier areas now (1 to 1.5 inches) and there's a "donut hole" in Burlington county where some places got less than 1/10 inch.

It's frikken hot out, right? It's dangerously hot. The dewpoints are the most prolonged I've ever seen. I'm going out for a couple hours, but won't stray far from the truck.

Sigh. If we could all just start driving electric cars., we would all be back to enjoying a normal climate in no time. Or maybe 18,000 years from now.
Give me diesel or give me death ! :)

In one hour we have had 2.43 inches and it is still raining very hard.

Those are some intense storms, there's a warning that expires at 4:30 for your area. Nothing here yet, but I see a little cell just developed out of nowhere and is heading straight for me!

Final tally is 4.02 inches.

We were out a little while ago during the rain and it was flooded everywhere. 295 was closed in both directions for a short time. That pushed all the traffic off to the side streets. We had a police vehicle with three rubber boats come by us with sirens blaring. Home Depo was flooded up to the middle of the cars tires and everyone was parking in the no parking zone along the front of the building. We took a side road along the Turnpike and it was blocked with police and ambulances. I think they were climbing up the hill to access the Turnpike.
