I never really "wash" my car but hose it down every time I go into the woods, the dust is amazing. Snapped this out the window in Peaslee WMA. No wind, so it just hangs in the air. It was sunrise and I never saw another car, would be rough to follow someone in these conditions.

I usually wash my car myself but they want you to go to the car wash to save water. You sure don't save money doing that. It was $10 for a basic wash.

Yes, the main channel is still flowing. The water level at the plastic bridge was surprisingly higher then I thought it would be. I suspect there might be some beaver activity causing that. Upstream from the campground there was good flow but I did see some small shrubs that were chewed down by beavers. It seems like the only places that have water are dammed up by beavers or man.

Walked from Coal Road to Batsto along the Batona trail last weekend. I don't have a picture. But this area was so full of water from beaver activity. We had to walk across boards that were floating along the edge of a road. I think this is the place. As soon as we crossed the boards there were some pipes in the road and it said the area along the water was private property. A tree fell on the fence that goes around Martha Furnace. There is now a visible trail into that area.

That is the Ives Branch by the Highland Park Gun Club ruins. The photo Bob took of me was taken there. It is always flooded. I had the stick stuck in my eardrum when this photo was taken.

The fence at Martha has been that way for some time. The state either has no money to fix it or really does not care about fixing it.

NJ Drought conditions here

Looking at the larger map, I'm located just South of the Severe Drought area. Makes sense, because it's dry but I'm not seeing the kind of extreme effects others have posted about.
Went down the cape may on Sunday and was not nearly as dry as it is in core barrens. In fact the area I went to in cape may courthouse was more wet than this time last year. Was relieved to see it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting.

"The New Jersey Forest Fire Service has responded to 537 blazes since early October, which have burned thousands of acres, Gov. Phil Murphy said. That’s 500 more fires than during the same period last year.."
