Mmm, brisket is good.

Here is what I am going to have right now. I moved my son to a second floor apartment...up the stairs....no AC....time and time again. I have a bottle of beer and a glass mug in the freezer. I'm gonna pour the beer into the mug, add salt to the head, and.....nirvana!

I worked on my shed for the past 3 days. It was really hot this morning so I put a nice cold one in the freezer and when it was nice and cold with a little ice in it I drank that water down right fast ..... nirvana and top notch!

I did go to the Outback for the first time today and had creamy onion soup. Very nice!

I just finished a bottle of Mexican Coca-Cola. The Wegmans by me here in Princeton sells them. It's regular coke, but in a thick glass bottle with a painted label, and instead of being sweetened by HFCS it's got pure cane sugar instead. It's like drinking a slice of the 1950's.

This is a trend. They just decided to make that Mt. Dew 'Throwback' variety (with cane sugar) permanent, and I have heard that coke and some others will have sugar varieties soon. It was funny, as a former huge Dew fan (midnight programming energy in a can) the sugar Dew tasted funny to me the first time I had it. Good funny, but with a tang/bite that the corn syrup doesn't give it.

Check out localsmokebbq.com in Cookstown. Piney Mike told me about it at the FRM cleanup and I really enjoyed it and they have brisket.

I'd be down for that. Just would want some company. Maybe we should have a NJPB BBQ night or something....?

Yep. My buddy owns Local Smoke BBQ that Oji mentioned. Its just outside New Egypt in Cookstown. Id be down for a visit with y'all. They're award winning around the nation.. great sliced brisket.

I was going to email them and ask about accomidating a group of us.

I could contact them if you'd like Ben. Just pick a date and post it under get togethers. We'll get a round-about number and give them a buzz. Its BYOB and theres a liquor store directly across the street for those who like a cold one with their meal. I got a busy weekend this week, but the following one is open. Weeknights work too. I've been to some of their competitions and let me tell you, they can cook.

Yeah if you wouldn't mind - ask them if they wouldn't mind hosting us one night.

Talked to him last night. If we have around 15 people he said to buzz him up before we go so the kitchen can get ready. Anything less than that we can just show up. Let's get a date and see who's interested or what works best for people. Thanks Ben.
