Ro took a picture of the little critter below last week on our front sidewalk here on the edge of the Pines. We can't identify it from our books or on-line sources. Any comments/suggestions?

It's a young green frog. One of the diagnostic criteria which helps to differentiate between green and bull frogs is the presence of the dorsolateral ridges on the back. In the bull frog, the ridges contour around the tympanum, in the green frog, they run down the back directly behind the eye, as in your specimen above.

Ro says "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" to JohnD and NJChileHead. I'll add my thanks, and especially for the diagnostic aid.
