I was thinking of the area Turtle mentioned, out behind the big Chimney SE of Green Bank.I don't think it is the same one. I saw this for the first time this past weekend.
That's it, Joe! Yep, I should have been more clear, you can "technically" drive there, but it is in the "no fly zone". Mannis Duck pond is a neat little place. I saw it elsewhere on the forum, it was theorized to be created by, perhaps, the Lower Forge gun club. (There is an "LD" on the little dam. Anyone know how old it is?
Bob not sure if it has a proper name, but is that the power lines in Lacey?
No Bob, not exactly. It looks heavily traveled though and I believe I have seen pics of the area on other sites. Is it near someone's private property?
HistoricAerials shows that something may have been there as far back as 1931 or earlier. I would have to assume that the Lower Forge Club built the current dam in 1962.
View attachment 5624 Been watching from the sidelines...what a great game! I'll toss one out there...anybody know where this place is?
Do you want me to say now or do you want to let others give it a shot?
