And saw something crawling in the dead weeds just by the platform. Saw a few of them, managed to get a photo. Actually two photos.

Those are italian wall lizards. They were introduced into new york city decades ago and have thrived ever since. There was also a population of them in philly at one time, but from my understanding are no longer there. Nice find.
