That year (or was it 2012?), I asked if anyone would like to walk down the middle of the Oswego for a mile or so. So yeah, it's been dry before. But not today here in Barnegat.

On 9/4/2004 we visited this water gage shelter along the Batsto Fireline road. It was unlocked. So I reported it...

Yes. I went over recently. It is as far as I can see in good shape. It sags a little in the middle but seems solid. After heavy rains water flows right across it which does not seem to effect it.

I keep looking at my old photos but haven't found one with the right date until today. These were taken on 10-29-2000 with my first digital camera - twenty two years ago today. That's my old Volkswagen Golf, which I believe was pretty new at the time. These were all taken within a period of about an hour... but I don't know where it was! I think it was Wharton, so that must be either the Mullica or Batsto in the second shot. Anyone have an idea of where I was?

Almost looks like the road that leads into goshen pond campground along the Mullica. Not sure the exact name of that road.

Now that you mention it, the shot of the road could be Push Line Rd and the car could be parked across from the entrance to Lower Forge camp

Eleven years ago today with Ted Gordon on Apple Pie Hill. What he is holding was there in the 70's when I first visited and I believe it is part of the pumping system for Dr. Whites sanatarium. I have no proof of that but believe it to be true.
