I came off Chew road to go North 206 at exactly 6:05 this eve'.
Meeting James U. @ the pic. Coming up 206 I drove right into it.As soon as you hit the bend on the lake, the smoke and backfire was right there. I couldn't get my windows up quick enough & got drenched in smoke. Foul!
I was actually one of the last cars let go Northbound. At the road just on this side of the tracks you could only make out the noses of the fire trucks & their headlights. I feared for the schoolhouse & church. There were many emergency vehicles at the ranger station. A state police officer followed me right into Pic's parking lot & I figured I had done something wrong as he walked up to me. He informed me that he was closing the place but after discussion with management they left it as an open issue should things get hairy. Right up till Jim & I left the flares were stopping 206 right at the pic. I had to take Stokes to Oakshade to Jackson & back through Atco home.
All in all in the midst of everything the Pic remains open. Too funny.
I thought that every time the door opened it gave a whole new meaning to their "smokers" wings. Well, my car reeks but I had a really good evening.
