Little Hawkin Run ... A PBX Hike

Makes me wonder what the "count" is for. I hope it's not a inventory for future projects like washingto turnpike

    RAIN?

I heard spring peepers today but not in my pond. I just checked and it's bone dry. This is the first spring in 10 years there is no water at all in it. In 2010 it was 3+ feet deep. The ground water is low even with this rain. The lack of snowfall this year is likely the culprit. These heavy...

    Southern Reliability Link Construction Begins

Humm?? So Sandy took out a bunch of gas mains on the islands. How does having a back up help? Wouldn't a similar storm take both out and both need to be fixed? The logic confuses me.

Little Hawkin Run ... A PBX Hike

It was another great hike!! It was great seeing everyone again. Al it was nice meeting you. After the first stream crossing I tucked my phone up high in my backpack for safety and didn't get many pictures to share. The tailgate didn't disappoint either except for the rain. And that may have...

Old Forge Dam to be rebuilt

I'm not sure if the exact location but by the description I was thinking the same location as 46er. They also mention 2004 which was when all the dams failed in Medford. I thought some of the dams were compromised out there too.

Thanks 46er. I was wondering if there was an actual map. I wasn't sure if it's that entire field or scaled back a bit. A 25 foot buffer doesn't seem like much.

I might have missed it in all the links but where is the proposed cemetery? I'll doublecheck it tho.

Yes they are always replowed before a prescribed burn. They need to be down to mineral soil. Keeping them open really does not help any but no additional harm either. Keeping roads open is much more important.

    Pinelands Watch Activist PPA

Just weighing in on my point of view whether it's right or wrong. I don't put blind faith in anything, just ask my wife;) Im with the PPA on some of the hot topics including the pipe lines but disagree on several other topics. If I became a member I don't think they would consider my opinion...

    Signs of Spring

Yes stay safe everyone. I ran the generator for an hour, got batteries and food and brought in enough fire wood to last a few days. I hoping for plenty of snow. My flight Tuesday is already cancelled so I actually will have a snow day as long as we have enough to make a trip to the shop to risky.

I didn't know that was you. I saw both of you. I was using your balloon to entertain my 10 month old who was fussy the whole time.

    Miller's Bog Road Crossing

The FFS has been monitoring this for some time now. They have been out to clear it out a few times. I'm not sure if was them this time or someone from state parks. Also a trapper was working the site during the season but did not get any there. With the beavers still there they are going to have...
