I actually thought the Flatiron fire might have been caused by lightning. The day of the fire I pulled up the past 24 hrs of lightning strikes in the area. It did show one near the fire but about a 1/2 mile away to the south. I figured the it could have been multiple strikes at the same time or...

Looks like the Acorn Hill and Flatiron fires were caused by lightning. According to the FFS

I thought the same thing. Sometimes when they get creative when naming them lol. I have heard of the name Flatiron for that area but I’m not sure where I heard it before.

There was also a 20 acre fire in winslow yesterday to. Seems like no matter which way the wind blows I smell smoke

I just saw on the news this morning there is a 100+ acre fire in Medford, off of Jackson Road. You could be smelling that one.
