Those rectangular pits are a result of the clean up. Owens corning dumped asbestos there and is/was a superfund site. Basically the asbestos is still there just covered over so it’s not disturbed.

Sorry I should have been more clear. To the best of my knowledge no roads were blocked. I was just passing through and noticed deadfall and small branches spread out in areas that weren’t last week. I didn’t really spend much time there.

    Winslow Area

I believe that development was built in the thirties as part of the government work programs. At one point I know they housed the people who worked at Ancora since my grandparents lived in there at one point. The houses were all condemned in the mid 90’s and later torn down.

Misleading as always. The top puddle has a go around. And the second larger one isn’t even a road. Both are in Batsto Fireline Road. The second one is not a designated road. It’s at the burnt out bridge and has a crossing going over it right next to where he’s standing.

Also. If it’s anything like a beach permit all wheel drive vehicles don’t qualify. They must be 4 wheel drive to even be able to get a permit.

I’ve been spending more time in the pines lately and noticed all the work bing done too. The funny thing is I see less new damage then I saw a few years back. At least in Wharton.
