Scott my son in law is terrified of snakes as well.I asked Him what he found so frightening about an animal thatr weighed maybe a pound amd had teeth barely big enough to break the skin, no venom and cannot sting? He said " Nothing without legs should be able to move that damn fast"! Is this...

All I ever wanted to be when I grew up was a Dirty Old Man like my Pop Pop and Dad. My wife tells me at 56 I have definitely achieved that goal. MY Dad always used to wear a hat that said " Dirty Old Men Need Love Too" I don't like hats but I think I see a shirt in my future.

Is this an Asian longhorned tick?

Thats what I was referring to,peremethrin. You have to spray your clothes but your clothes are on you. I save the stuff for the chiggers and just pick the ticks off.I can usually feel them tickling as they walk or itching as they chew in so most don't get in me.

Is this an Asian longhorned tick?

I"m not really much on tick ID.me or Momma pulls them out depending on location,we then burn them with one of them long lighters and when were done regardless of species they all look pretty charred. You have two choices when it comes to ticks.Ekither douse yourself in a chemical bath every time...

    Vaccine?

I think the heat that day came closer to killing me then the 122 degree heat in the Nafud desert did. If they ever invent a "heat vaccine" maybe I'll get that one

    Vaccine?

I know! It was when I almost died of heat exhaustion crossing Alquatka branch of the Mullica. That would have been a terrible way to go.I think I'd prefer death by hornets. The water was even not that day but I caught a black rat snake that day and that revived me!
