    Red Oak Grove

Not far from Union Clay works I found a trail that leads through various piles of bricks and old Terra Cotta pipes and broken debris. Some of these pipes are a large diameter (perhaps 10 inches or more). One section of this area is at least 20ft X 20ft wide and a few feet high with piles and...

Saying farewell to the Toyota FJ Cruiser

Having had both, the FJ on-road is just so far more comfortable than the Jeep. I just traded my FJ for a great deal on a Wrangler Unlimited that I couldn't pass up. Rough on the tush though

I agree on the litigation issues however keep in mind that the REAL issues are the ones you can't see. I can easily fly this high enough over anyone's home and you won't see it, hear it, or have a remote chance of hitting it with ANY weapon of any kind barring a flak gun. It's a scary thought...

If anyone's discharging a shotgun over or near my house there's going to much a bigger problem than posting bail. "Percenti posted $250 in bail after being arraigned on criminal mischief and weapons charges."

An intricate system of pulleys, levers, and balloons. Actually, this was done with a remote control quad copter equipped with HD Video camera and high res photo camera. It was very tricky flying it through all of the overhanging trees and a little hard to gauge the distance when it's 150 feet...

The well (artesian?) was running today while I was there. At least I assune it was a fresh water well which was enclosed by a 4 ft high wall with a concrete cap. Probably fresher than city water.

Saying farewell to the Toyota FJ Cruiser

I love my FJ- it has carried me through mud and sand and through the Pine Barren Hills and Vales. Even to the top of Forked River Mountain (allegedly)

Thought you may all enjoy a unique perspective on what is left of Harrisville. This is clearly a very fragile site and thankfully the fence prevents anyone from further damage or possible injury. Here is some video as well:

    Pine Barrens Under Seige!

Trash and dumping is very big problem in some particular places. However, the dumpers are not the Off-roaders. The ORV's do make a mess of *existing* roads that have been travelled for decades. ATV's and dirtbikes do not really do that much damage as compared to the larger 4x4's.

    It's silly season time

Once the weather forecasters can get a correct forecast of the next 24 hours, I'll start to believe their long term projections.

The legislation for this is going to be interesting to say the least. People could technically launch a drone from a public or private area and fly it over a state park. This will come down to who controls the airspace or "air rights". Personally I would not want a few drones flying around at a...

There are a few significant differences between the DJI and the Parrot with the largest being the visual stability of the video. Without a 3 axis gimbal, the video becomes extremely susceptible to any movement from wind, user controls, etc. The fisheye issue disappears if you are recording in a...

Ben this is from DJI - the distortion is from any fisheye type lens and could be corrected with software. It's just a pain in the butt
