No, I didn't mean to imply you were quiting, just perhaps moving towards a solution we can all support. As you know, the MAP, as is, is a non starter for us.

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

Hi all, last night was the "motorized" stakeholder forum session, which NJPB was represented in. (As well as OTNJ and others). It was an extremely productive meeting. Lots of great ideas shared and the DEP was truely listening. We again got commitment that the MAP was dead and we are starting...

    Couple of Batona Trail Questions

They said that only one test out of many failed and that in of itself, according to the regulations, didn't make it unsafe, they just did it in an over abundance of caution.

Yes, contrast the Courier's coverage with the BCT's coverage of the same exact event, much more fair and balanced: http://www.burlingtoncountytimes.com/news/local/groups-call-on-dep-to-implement-wharton-state-forest-trail/article_3ea53f50-71f2-11e5-a6c6-53b3a3665e71.html They gave us the last...

    Lower Forge-High Crossing Road

Wow! I've never seen Mannis Duck pond that low! I wonder if that was only due to the drought or is there some sort of problem with the dam?

    Lower Forge-High Crossing Road

I Huh. Closed recently as part of this MAP debacle or before that?

    Lower Forge-High Crossing Road

Lower Forge - High Crossing is open, but it has had a tree across it for at least a couple months. I was just out there this past weekend on my way to Mannis Duck pond area and must have missed this party spot. Maggie, re your question I was going to be emailing the superintendent about...

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

After all the pressure mounted, the DEP agreed to hold stakeholder forums. The "stakeholders" are anyone who signed up a group for the stakeholder forums, per the instructions in the FAQ. Ben signed up NJPB. It also has kayak, horseback, hunting, geocachers, enduro, 4x4 clubs, etc. as well as...

So now it gets interesting, a milk snake or a black racer :-) So what would a defining characteristic be to tell them apart?

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

I was told by the Lt. of the State Park Police District 1, that they were never enforcing any of these new closures, even when they weren't just a "draft". That just goes to show how screwed up this plan has been from the get go...

    Possibly two Riders Switch(es)?

Interesting. I hadn't been to the other location you pointed out, but I was just at Riders Switch yesterday, my son loves walking to the trestle. :). Was there actually a station at "Hampton Station"? I've never found anything that resembled the ruins of a station in that area.
