Baron... don't change your moniker on my account! Peerage or Provincial! What's really in a name?

    Where is this?

I never understood why people would want to memorialize a death site. I always preferred to tell my kids and other folks where people were born and celebrate that instead! John-

    Where is this?

Mr. German and Mr. Gibby have it. It is the inside of the gristmill wall.

    Where is this?

I thought the same thing when I saw it, but Gibby is right about the epoxy. I have a close up pic but it's a give away. I'll wait a little while before I post it. John-

This is a great idea for a thread! I for one am really enjoying it. Thanx. This may be easy for some, but I'm curious if any one else has seen this.

    Abandoned racetracks.

Thanx for posting this, Relayer. I've walked around the Amatol circuit many times and thought it was pretty long for a wooden track, but this post card shows just how big it really was. John-

Kayaker found dead in Burlington County

This is tragic! Kayaking with his son one day before Father's Day, only to end like this. With the Oswego being one of our most shallow rivers, it just goes to show how careful you really need to be. John-

    Wharton state forest trails.

Job- Welcome to the site! There's lots of info here to injest. This is just my 2¢. Yes, you may take your pup to Batona, but you don't have to backpack in... you can drive your vehicle right up to your site. This makes for easy camping, but the place is filled with "yahoos", especially on...

Hide your snacks when in Brendan Byrne SF...Yogi is coming!

This apparently is the same bear that was released in the Wharton just last year, and it wandered out of the forest into suburbia. What does Byrne provide to keep the animal there that the Wharton doesn't? Who's to say it won't do the same thing.

    Whitesbog this morning

Your Sunrise at the bogs pic is awesome! Reminds me of great times past like, opening day duck hunting (north zone) on the Big Tank. Setting up before first light, and watching the sun rise across the water. Seeing the beauty of the autumn colored treeline start to glow in the increasing...
