    Redfin Pickerel Do Not Exist!!!

redfins eat worms, yeah, but they would prefer a fish. the thing is, the sunfish and catfish love worms so by not using worms you decrease your chances of catching a sunfish or catfish instead of a redfin. The smaller redfins will reside in the same proximity of the sunfish. The larger ones...

    Kayaking at the Blue Hole

Wow, that is pretty cool. When I went there about 10 years ago I remember being surprised thinking it didn't look deep at all. I remember seeing the bottom. maybe it was a trick of the light.

    Redfin Pickerel Do Not Exist!!!

    Redfin Pickerel Do Not Exist!!!

Cool photo, Bob. HK, I appreciate your ambition. Catching a redfin on rod and reel is going to be difficult. I'll help you out as best I can. I never targeted redfin specifically, but if I did, I'd do this... I'd get away from where the chainsides are, go to a bog with a sandy, shallow...

    Redfin Pickerel Do Not Exist!!!

They are there HK. If you really want to catch one and don't care about the size and method, use a seine in the bog and you are likely to pick up a little one. By little we are talking 3" or 4". Jeff

    Linear mounds in Stafford WMA

Yes, that is the correct one. I approach it on the motorcycle from the south on trails not suitable for car or truck. I recall you can access it from an access road along the parkway, but it is pretty muddy most of the time. Jeff

    Linear mounds in Stafford WMA

This area in question is my favorite "pit" in the pines. the western most area is a large bowl like pit on top of a mountain (well, you know). when you ride to the top of the sides you are welcomed by a beautiful vista. I have many photos of this area but I still haven't been able to get...

I would add that a juvenile black rat snake and possibly even a juvenile rattler could look similar.

    Whitesbog Blueberry Festival

My four year old goes crazy on the wild blueberries and huckleberries. He says the store bought ones don't taste the same and he won't go near them. Get him out in the woods and, without intervention, he would literally eat them non-stop. Jeff
