    It was previously the Quail Hill "Inn" ....then an antique barn....then gone. I don't really recall whether it burned or got bulldozed....I think it was in the mid 80's ? Maybe.

    the cement slab (center/right) is reminiscent of a saw mill or machine base. I see bolts sticking out of it. ? ? ? the larger floor slab seems to be older for the main building (due to the 40+/- yr. red cedar growing out of the rectangular hole)....but the cinderblock/chimney/I-beams appear...

    so, I made it for the last hurrah.... sometimes funny things happen when you're driving down Carranza road. :) I purposely positioned Chris and Bob with the sign. They were happy men. On my side, it was a pleasure to finally meet Mickey, quite a gentleman.

    My great-grandmother, born and raised in Poland would take my mother (age 6-12) from their home in Phila. to NJ via the ferry. Once in NJ they would harvest mushrooms and pick wild blueberries. It would amaze my mother that her grandmother was so familiar with the edible mushrooms of the US...

    Mike.... Penny Pot to Weymouth = 9.9 miles = 4-6 hrs. Weymouth to Acagisca = 2.7 miles = 2-3 hrs. Acagisca to Lake Lenape = 4.3 miles = 3-4 hrs. Just check out which areas you can take a trailer into. Acagisca is a real nice spot to camp with a group. Terry

    Harry is the father of an old, old friend of ours. We have some pretty cool postcards of that place that Harry used to hand out. I haven't been there in years. I need to go visit again and take some photos. They are a wonderful couple.

    Song Dogs in The Dark and A Duck

    (please tell Bob that he had a whistle too.....and a big stick) We have them in the woods behind our place. When I sleep with the windows open, they usually start up just before 4 AM, waking me up.
