Batona Trail Tylertown and Bulltown is about 1/3 north or 2/3 south on the Batona Trail. NOT that i would consider stealth camping here :), but what is the area like. were these ever actual towns or just a few houses. i don't remember this area...

im looking to buy a SLR digital camera. my son just bought a Rebel Canon. i like the pics. any suggestions for somebody starting out again since 35mm B&W :). i want a good body. can add lens later. any advice would help :) KK

Goshen Pond my son and i are camping at Goshen Pond on the nite of the 24th if anyone is interested in joining use. the cleanup is still on, right?

this is the Elmer station that was moved and is a few miles east on 40 notice the similarities in structure.

it's sitting on route 40, 2 miles west of elmer. it was moved there. there are no tracks nearby. i will find out where the farmer got it from.

i always wear orange pack cover or orange fleece hat. those and Brenden Byrne are the only sites. Bodine is a short hike off trail. Stealth camping is illegal. breaking the law is up to you. they have maps at Byrne, Bass River and Batsto. Not very detailed. Blazing is pretty good...

there is no cost for google maps. i use my spot tracks to start a map. lookouts are for bird watchers. you can see over the meadows to Delaware from them. there are some nesting Bald Eagles out on the electrical towers.

i know this isn't in the pines, but it is a nice day trip. you could include Fort Mott and ferry to Ft. Delaware. there are pics on Placemarks on the maps. if you decide to kayak it check tide charts for high tide:)...

lake oswego was always quiet back in the day. used to BBQ and swim. we liked it because we could take the dog and the water stayed shallow for the little ones.
