    Iron in the Pines

Forgotten Towns of Southern New Jersey and More Forgotten Towns of Southern New Jersey are great. Better, in my opinion, than Jersey Genesis. They're a great snapshot of 1920s-1960s Pine Barrens life and history.

Damn, John, your work is amazing! I have a similar pic of that broken gas pump somewhere, too. Yours is far nicer.

    The Instagram Thread

Thanks. I primarily use Instagram for most of my random "out and about" camera phone pics. My "fine art" stuff is either up on my website or on my Tumblr. I've all but abandoned Flickr at this point.

Update on new housing/commercial space proposal for Manchester

Asarco/Heritage Minerals buried radioactive waste in area "Y". Not too sure I'd want to live back there. I have a soft spot for that tract of land. I spent a lot of time exploring there in my younger and stupider days.

Colliers Mills Being Heavily Abused by ORV's

I think the media, especially conservative media, has turned "environmentalist" into a word with negative connotations. That being said, there's plenty of environmental activists that play right into that stereotype. The biggest problem is that people are not taught, from an early age, to...

    Windows 10

My mom bought a new computer and it came with Win10 on it. She seems to really like it and she's not particularly keen on change. I can't wait until it gets better and then lights a fire under Apple for them to work on some of their problems.

    Another Jason thread gone sideways.

Colliers Mills Being Heavily Abused by ORV's

We rage when members of certain environmental groups make sly comments about us so I don't think we should resort to that level too. Plus there's a lot of environmentalists on this site, and only a few of us are mental.

Off Road Abuse of Wharton State Forest Continues

I'm going to close this thread tonight since I feel like we're entering the realm of circular arguments that really aren't productive to real discourse. So get your last comments in before 7 or 8-ish. Feel free to start a new thread if you have something you'd like to say/discuss but after 5...

Pffft, as if the CMP mattered any more these days. :/

Colliers Mills Being Heavily Abused by ORV's

Oh for sure, the Heritage Minerals site would be perfect. I bet Hovnanian wouldn't sell because it'd detract from the value of the townhouses that they want to build there. Do you know what the status of that even is thesedays?

Colliers Mills Being Heavily Abused by ORV's

Agreed, PBA. I think the biggest obstacle was that nobody wanted an ORV park in their town. Plus, I feel that placing one way down in Cape May dooms it to failure since it's pretty much majorly inconvenient to get to from anywhere else in the state. If you're a 17 year old kid are you going to...

Off Road Abuse of Wharton State Forest Continues

That's what we (OTNJ and this website) wanted too. However all last summer the PPA tried their damnedest to paint any anti MAP person, and especially the "so called leadership" (their words about the OTNJ people who were vocal in the fight) in the worst possible light. All reasonable people...

Off Road Abuse of Wharton State Forest Continues

Rob told me that he was receiving a lot of pressure to close the entirety of Wharton. I didn't ask for names but I have some ideas. Anybody who thinks that the MAP wasn't a prelude to that happening is in denial.
