The Culprit Exposed: Miller's Bog Sunset

The areas being affected back here are the old bog system originally owned by Wharton himself. The beavers have, for the most part, re-flooded the old bogs. In fact, their damming activity has been focused on rebuilding the original dike choke points along the Albertson. There are a few along...

The Culprit Exposed: Miller's Bog Sunset

You should see my area Bob. They have completely changed the landscape. But you know, I try to keep it in perspective. The landscape that they are changing is one that man created.

The Culprit Exposed: Miller's Bog Sunset

Was running the dog tonight just after sunset and stopped at the local bog. The sky and partially frozen bog surface were beautiful so I grabbed my phone for a few pics. As I framed the picture I noticed a wake. I thought maybe woodies since I flushed three near this spot last night but it was...

Through careful planning or maybe just good sense, the Governor's mansion isn't in beautiful Trenton Al. I That would be too cruel. (Well maybe not for this new Governor) It's in the Hoidy Toidyest of all places, Princeton. Take me to Drumthwacket Jasper ...

Hard to believe they actually started the burn today with this wind. The neighborhood is starting to look a little more than hazy. Even more concerning is that the wind is out of the south and blowing toward my house which is 80’ off the woods line.

We walked from Salter's Ditch almost out to 206 and back and that was the only area where I saw any ties.

First, let it be known that this may be the most hijacked thread of all time. We have gone from Guy pushing a Super Duty with no fuel, to stones, to NJ Geo monuments, to coyotes, to GPS Theory and Applications 101 and back to finding stones. Well, let the hijack continue. Here are a few photos...

Walked back to the old location of 4019 Saturday morning. The view is looking toward 4020. I also photographed 4019 in my yard. You can see that the mold for the monument is a simple galvanized bucket. The hinge for the handle is intact.

Ed, The short answer is that the "fancy stuff" really has no bearing on resolving boundaries. A stone that is called for in a deed carries more weight in the evidence rules than bearings, distances or coordinates when it is physically recovered. It doesn't matter what technique or equipment was...

A little precautionary message Al. I never worried about running our dogs off-lead down here and I have been here for 33 years and have had multiple dogs over those years. They have been trained to come back to me with the "HERE !" command and they are both pretty good with that. The springer...

You're not confused Al. The tie sheet shows exactly what you are saying. However, over time, the center of the fork must have slowly built up by road grading and normal woods traffic over 75 years or more until it was no longer in the roadbed itself. The 10.80' tie would no longer be valid...

4019 was never in the road Al, it was safely inside the wye in these two roads. The monument is a concrete filled bucket and probably only weighs 60 lbs. I'll send a photo later. http://maps.njpinebarrens.com/#lat=39.69521400832566&lng=-74.80594762131346&z=15&type=topo&gpx=
