    telephone pole massacre

We were driving down Carranza road this morning when we saw a telephone pole just north of Hampton road cut off by a chain saw. It was hanging by the wires. Blue Fishing

I marinaded them in Kraft fat free Italian dressing. When I had my own boat I used to fillet them while they were still wiggling, put them in a zip lock with the dressing and immediately on ice. They were ready by the time I got home.

    Revisiting the Rattlesnake

I chased one out of the road before one of the nutballs working at the Costello Academy ran over it. That place ought to be buldozed. The State Police had a bunch of them pulled over for speeding last year. The snake was very cooperative and scooted back into the woods, nice animal, friendly...

    Displaing GPS track

Displaying GPS track I've seen pictures of tracks displayed here on topo maps many times. I have a Garmin 60CS and have saved tracks and used Easygps to upload to my computer but all I get is a track displayed in Easygps with no map. How do you do it? Thanks Ed

    Coyote sighting

We had a real great sighting of a large coyote near Hampton Furnace this morning. He crossed in front of the jeep just as we were nearing Hampton Furnace. I stopped to study the tracks and then parked near the Skit Branch Bridge to have our morning walk up the west side of the Skit. About a half...

    Batona Trail

We took a short hike, 5.6 miles, on the Batona trail between Bulltown and Evans Bridge yesterday. Along were Marianne, Willow a 6 year old great dane and 1 year old Buffy, a Jack Russell Terrier. Lots of time to sniff and picnic since Willow gets a bit creeky after longer hikes (so do I)...
