I would say I have definitly had many spiritual experiences in the pines. I always go to the pines to center myself or sort things out. Being surrounded by so much life out there is both humbling and enlightening. Jeff

I've witnessed pinesnakes rattleing their tails (pbx, three river crossing), and their is a similar appearence to the yellow phase rattler. Bob, I think he staddled it with his truck, not his legs. Nice snake Tom. Jeff

I think you might be, with high likelyhood, the only person in history to refer to chiggers as weeweeheads. Guy's description is dead on Sue. They hit in a clump of approx. 50 and then spread. I've seen very small immature ticks similar in size to chiggers also. Jeff

That line bothered me a bit also. The pine barrens are historically characteristic new growth forests due to fire, but i agree I would never want to see the forest harvested to the extent that it was in the earlier part of the 1900's. Jeff
