Anyone with Knowledge of Animal Tracks?

My buddy says he thinks it's coon.He skins and salts hides all day long for his Dad who is the actual taxidermist so He has quite a bit of experience with different types of critter skins.

Anyone with Knowledge of Animal Tracks?

I never even thought of fox.I was thinking of something likely to fall prey to a predator and not a predator itself but bigger predators do eat smaller predators.I"ll send the pic to my taxidermist buddy and get his opinion.

My geocache has been red tagged

I notice they haven't bothered the Letterboxers yet. That would require them to actually think to find them since they require a bit more work then putting coordinates into a gps and walking right to them. http://www.letterboxing.org/

PBX guys, I need a way into the bog

I believe if your caught cutting trees on state property the fine is several hundred bucks a tree ,on the other hand hunters do it all the time to create bridges and clear field of fire.Surveyors do it to get a better GPS reading. Beavers do it just because their beavers.

That is definitely a cat track,as you say no claws and register and the signature round shape. Will spook a squirrel every time and for obvious reasons.:-)

PBX guys, I need a way into the bog

The road I shown coming in on the west again is very sandy. As a hiut sand compacts when wet and is easier driving when wet.As it dries the air between the grains is what makes it soft. After all sand is crushed rock basically. If you have foru wheel it is no problem back there,If not be careful.
