    xbox & playstation

I have a playstation 2. I don't have the time to play anymore but I loved all the "puzzle/action" games, driving and fighting games too. In the puzzle type games it felt like you were in a movie, neat! It does take time away from more important things though, moderation is the key. Jeff

A spung would explain it's absence on google earth. we will have to look at the other pools on google to see if they are there.

Child is attacked by Coyote in Middletown

Just to add, the eastern coyote is acually a hybrid between the gray wolf and western coyote (according to leading theories). the eastern coyotes size is inbetween that of the western coyote and grey wolf. There is a theory that the eastern wolf of the pre-civilized east coast were the same...

    A clearing in the woods

Perhaps by strict definition but it is much different that the typicall pine barrens savanna. The most important difference is the very hard packed sand which has reduced the vegetation to only some grasses and of course blueberry. Jeff

    A clearing in the woods

Yes, It is great to discover an area like this. Scott, I've seen old blueberry fields also where the rows have remained, sometimes over run by maples and cat brier. My only thought was that this might have been a very old farm and enough of the bushes died off to lose the row structure, but...

    A clearing in the woods

Good camping spot huh Bob? Except for a hunting stand there was no evidence of human disturbance (camping, vehicles etc) or garbage. That is right, no garbage all. It was refreshing. Jeff

    A clearing in the woods

I was looking over ariel photos when I noticed an interesting clearing in Lebanon not far from me. No apparent road access (although some roads don't show up on ariel photos) Looked like sugar sand with lichens growing on them, and a cleared field of some sort. I started wondering if it might...

    Searching and finding Trash!

I know that area where you found the trash Guy, as you mentioned it is a real popular dumping ground. The turkey doesn't surprise me either, I've seen quite a few in there. Whites bog rangers generally ignore that area because it is seperated by the pole bridge branch and swamp from the rest...

    Searching and finding Trash!

You know, my twp charges $5 a tire to drop off at the dump. I wish there was some kind of voucher or way to drop off tires that we pick up in the woods without being charged. No way to prove we picked them up in the woods though, so I guess it would be hard to make a system like that work...

    Searching and finding Trash!

I've had that concern also, but I would pick it up anyway. KOP had a good suggestion, if you have a digital camera with you, that should cover the bases. Jeff

    Parker Preserve Access Article

this Chris Jage seems like a good guy but do we really need a parking lot in the Franklin Parker Preserve? Acually I'll answer that...NO. Don't waste the $. I like it the way it is, leave the signs up and leave it alone is fine with me. Let nature reclaim it. Jeff
