At least you can hunt Swan Bay WMA and this acquistion will provide additional adjacent habitat. You can also bank on birders knockin' a few quackers loose too, which is a plus if you're right next door.

Oh my beerded sage, there are in fact concretions throughout the pit wall profile. If only I could impart a tactile component to the photos. The darker material in the lower profiles is sharp edged and as solid as a rock or a concretion as the case may be. The proper leaching conditions...
