    Howardsville Stones

I swear by Filson as I said earlier. However, for a slightly less expensive option some of my rabbit buddies swear by these: http://www.mulehuntingclothes.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=1 They do make chaps for about $35.00 that I haven't seen. My buddies all have...

    Abandoned racetracks.

My guess is no. The access is an overgrown road off the old White Horse Pike and it is private property. The adjoining owner keeps a pretty close watch on things. I accessed the track by walking over from the HRF MC property while at a few of their parties. You wouldn't want to do that...

    I've have for a while

Steve I posted about this before. A good chunk of the old Amotol property is owned by the State and it is part of the Hammonton Creek WMA. Most of the track is in the WMA. Here is the link to the map: http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/pdf/wmamaps/hammonton_creek_west.pdf Scott

    PBX Trip to Howardsville

Tin cloth is Filson's an extremely tightly woven cotton that is waxed. Carharrts are coarse woven and catch on everything, which leads to tears. I still wear Carharrts for work to cut the wind but Filsons for brush. The double tin pants are very stiff and not something you want to wear on a...

    PBX Trip to Howardsville

You guys had a great day. Looks like a larger version of Parkdale, one of my favorite pine spots. I will try and get to Howardsville this winter. Bythe way in all my years of hunting, here are the only pants that hold up to more than one season of abuse...

    Hunters

Congratulations to your son and you for keeping the tradition alive. I remember each and every one of my sons' deer like it was yesterday and they are now 19 and 20. They have both taken nicer deer than me in their short hunting careers. All local pines deer too. They both started at the age...

    1,213 Acres Perpetually Preserved

http://www.courierpostonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061214/NEWS01/612140398/1006 The two layered effect of removing the number of Pinelands Development Credits (PDC's) assigned to the land is an interesting perspective. I do a lot of Pinelands related development work and the...

    Abandoned racetracks.

All along Rte.537 from 206 in Springfield all the way to Jackson are numerous horse farms with training tracks. These horse farms, I believe, were built as an offshoot of the major horse racing facilities at Freehold . One of the biggest is the Helis Stock Farm just outside Juliustown. Scott

    The End of an Era

A very powerful man. Strange combination of cranberry farmer and political powerhouse. http://www.courierpostonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061212/NEWS01/612120362

    Howardsville Stones

Well if he left that ladder permannently tethered like that and that stand is in open oaks as it appears, that might explain why he didn't see more than two deer. That ladder silhouette and the outline of that stand will spook deer as bad as a Metallica CD played on a blown speaker. It takes...

    Abandoned racetracks.

Most of the Amotol track is in the Hammonton Creek West WMA and lies within Mullica Township. Main access is from Moss Mill Road. Here is the link to the WMA map: http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/pdf/wmamaps/hammonton_creek_west.pdf I hunted it the first year it became a WMA. The track in Atco...

    Oh, our economy is crushed!

I helped kept Pabst in business during my misspent youth. Now that I am a misspending my older years too, Pabst is still good. (and cheap too) I started buying it again last summer at the Canals in Rio Grande. Today's kids want the trendy stuff and freely squander a half-weeks pay on some...

    1950's campground

I talked to Nelson Phero today in Church and he does not recall the tale of the girl and the train. We talked a little about the cemetary and he told me that he has a picture at home of his great-grand mother holding his mother in front of a "hotel" that once stood in front of the cemetary...

The surrounding property is Rusnak's. I have been into the cemetary twice and both times George Rusnak ran over to see what I was doing . He was very personable after I explained who I was . He gets concerned because of the wood in the back and his equipment. He has caught people in the past...

George and Guy That girl was the topic of a converstion I had with Frank Rusnak a few years ago when I was doing his Pinelands Commission development approvals for him. He told me that she was a mistreated child of the Berzihski family. He was passing on what his father had told him. He said...

    Goshen in Camden or Burlington?

I am looking at my copy of the filed map of Waterford right now at work. The Raleigh Land and Improvement Co. had their main office at 71 Leonard St. in NY,NY, with other offices listed in Waterford, Phila. and Atsion. James G. Fitzpatrick was president of the company. At the bottom it says...
