Brick and Morter for Hi-Lift Jack?

Have it your way. :) There may be some useful information in this link Not to be morbid but a chain is far more likely to take your head clean off than a 3 lb tow strap. HTH

Brick and Morter for Hi-Lift Jack?

just get a 30ft tow strap. You don't want chains. and make certain you have something on your truck to attach the strap to.

Off road is out of bounds for ATVs

Of course and I agree but that is a seperate issue from impounding, lets say a Cadillac Escalade because someone has trespassed on Farmer Browns land or is deemed to be a nuisance. I think that portion of the ordinance will be overturned.

Off road is out of bounds for ATVs

It all boils down to enforcement. Some will get caught and some will not. As far as confiscating a vehicle I think not. Punishment has to fit the crime.

Off road is out of bounds for ATVs

There is really nothing new here. I think a law against tresspassing on farms and such has been on the books for about 150 years. What did they do, pass an ordinance. which does what? Supercede the previous ordinance? Must be taking their cues from the UN. Pass one useless resolution after...

    Gotta' Question

I often travel alone and encounter many water obstacles of unknown depth. Its important to remember that the puddle you crossed with ease last week may have since been rutted deeply by yahoos who stop in the middle and power brake in 2wd simply for the photo op. My submarine days are long over...

Garmin US TOPO 24k vs. Garmin TOPO

Boyd, I also have the street pilot III with the city navigator maps and have found virtually every road in the pines is on there (like lost lane for instance). Do you find the topo maps to be indispensible or does city suffice?

Brick and Morter for Hi-Lift Jack?

Not trying to be a butinski, but where on your stock?? ranger would you place the jack in order to lift it?? The bumpers are fiberglass as is the door sills if I'm not mistaken. If you intend to use it as a hand winch you'll need somewhere to attach the strap or cable ie; hard mounted tow hooks...

    Poor Caretakers!

I truly believe the best method of preserving the environment would be for the human race to stop procreating. As the number of humans diminish there would be less and less need to expand into wildlife areas and slowly the wilderness would take back what was once theirs. You can't tell me this...
