A few thoughts on the weather

Its all crapola. Don't succumb to media hysteria. It wasn't long ago that we were headed for an ice age and were all doomed. http://www.glennbeck.com/2006news/newsweek-coolingworld.pdf

Interesting post Largo. The name Lucky Mihalchik rang a bell as I've discussed him here before but did not know about his aviation affiliation. A quick google check revealed some very insightful info on this character. http://members.tripod.com/airfields_freeman/NJ/Airfields_NJ_Trenton.html I...

    1950's campground

he didn't specifically mention the campground being west of 206 so if his story was true it could have been anywhere. curious about wading pines and paradise lakes still being privately owned in the middle of the state forest. wonder which came first, the cg or the sf. the tower? I have no clue...

dutchtown. I've been thinking about that tower and he had to be wrong. A tower would have to be lit so there would be power lines and access roads etc. He must have meant something else.

I've tried my best to remember the details of a story I was told about 10 years ago by the then assistant superintendant of wharton state park whose name I think was a Jim Donohue. I do remember for sure that he said he was a landscaper fom Freehold. From what I remember, he told me the story...

    Profile of a Democrat

perhaps I should clarify. I walked that picket line with your father for 3 weeks in '97. my suspicion of unions began then, when we discovered that strike pay, which was supposed to be half our weekly salary, had dwindled down to zero. The teamsters had to scramble to come up with something...

    He'll be gone soon.

I'm beginning to see that facts carry virtually no importance in the debates but I thought I'd add a few more thoughts on the war. When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the following... FDR...led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did...

    He'll be gone soon.

We should not lose sight of the fact that many were sounding the WMD alarm in Iraq long before anyone ever heard of George W Bush. "One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom...

    Profile of a Democrat

You can call yourself a democrat all you want, I'd still buy you a beer. I'm a little leary about unions however. Ask your father how much he earned per week when he was on strike. Quite shocking to all of us, so much so that we had to borrow $$ from the afl-cio. Where did all our money go...
