So I have a question...if black bear were eliminated from the barrens awhile back but now they are here again, where are they coming from?

    Be careful out there...

my BAC card says that a 155lb male can have 3 drinks in an hour and still be a little under 0.08BAC....4 drinks makes it 0.081. This card is obviously just an estimate, everybody is different. Either way, I had a DUI a few years ago and its blows big time(im still making payments to the state...

    Ruts?

I was born and raised not too far from the barrens in Sewell,NJ but never been to the barrens until last May(except for one canoe trip when I was little). Now I spend as much time as I can out there.

Thanks guys...being new to the pines I didn't realize that forest fires were an essential part of barrens ecology

    Ruts?

So I have noticed these ruts about a foot deep that look man made that parallel roads and trails near batsto. I was thinking that the were bike trails but they are not marked and then start and end all over the place. Can anyone tell me what these are?

    Sasquatch in the Pines

No pine nuts...learn something new every day, I guess I won't be using that argument anymore lol. But I think you're making a big assumption about this quote. Let me ask you this. Do you think you personally(being someone with good knowledge of the outdoors and the pines in general) could make...

    ML or bobcat?

I look at some more pics that we had....definitely looks like claw marks and we didn't have a pic of the track pattern, just individual tracks. Well at least now I don't have to worry about fighting mountain lions

    Sasquatch in the Pines

I have to admit that I had never been to the pines before I started bigfooting in may and my friend and I have both grown to enjoy it a lot. I regret not knowing about it before. It's a great place....helps me forget about all the BS I have to deal with in everyday life...work/school/people etc...

    Sasquatch in the Pines

Yea you make good point about the lack of food in the barrens...that's why I was suggesting that they might just move thru the pines as they move north/south along the east cost. Who knows maybe they stubble into the pines accidentally during "migration."And if not accidentally...maybe they...

    ML or bobcat?

    Sasquatch in the Pines

I have read several reports of them eating bark and "pieces of tree." Now obviously that hearsay but none the less people have reported seeing them do it....and like I said before there are plenty of animals for the to eat(which you agree with it seems). As for hunting deer, many people who...

    Sasquatch in the Pines

You make good points. In my mind the pines are definitely not an area that would hold a isolated population of bigfoots...like you said it really is just too small. Instead my "theory" is that it is a place that they might move in and out of during certain times of year...probably fall/winter...

    Sasquatch in the Pines

To play devils advocate you would expect animals to act a certain way because animals don't have critical thinking skills and at on instincts and reflexes. I you pretend that bigfoot is a real animal they have to be fairly intelligent...more so than any of the other great apes...to what extent...

    Sasquatch in the Pines

Jeff i agree with you 100% but i figured I would give you my schpeel anyway lol. I enjoy the debate with people like you who are staunch skeptics....I post on some bigfoot forums and it gets old after awhile because people on there are quick to accept every snap, crackle, and pop in the woods as...
