Childhood shift: Most kids have stopped playing outdoors

I agree it's in the parenting. Since before I could walk I have been going out with my Father during his birding adventures allover NJ and the US. we also went for Sunday walks through the Shrewsbury Arboretum. I now have an irresistible urge to be in, and to protect the outdoors. Most of my...

Pines Fire Video (Warning: rough language)

Found this on youtube. Pretty wild video of a brush fire in the pines as seen from a firefighters perspective. There is some foul language so be careful.

    Closed to Mortorized Vehicles

I do find this sad, there's good and there's also bad. I have no doubt that the hundreds (perhaps thousands) of off roaders who abuse 1/4 miles will forge new roads and paths to get out there. I'm sure they will have no problem with knocking down and tearing out trees and anything else that...

Incredible Historic Photos (not pines related)

Good words, Bill. I do agree, it's a shame that most of this America is gone forever. Some of these photos give me chills, the gold panners, the cowboys roping up the gray wolf, meetings with Native Americans... fascinating.

My jaw was on the floor as I went through these. This is what it's all about. Talk about preservation through art!

The Presentation was unforgettable. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Guy, I must confess I helped Turtle with the coordinates off my iPhone. However, she didn't want to include the other digits!

It was a fantastic event and I can't wait for next year's. I sorely upset I've missed previous years. Wonderful to meet so many of you, thanks for stopping by and the humbling comments I received. I didn't have too much time in between booth action (no complaints there!) but I did manage to walk...

    iPhone 4 Maps/Apps

Thanks for the help! I'm on AT&T. They were offering a few refurbished iphones for very cheap on their website. I've been purchasing refurbished phones for years, saving hundreds of dollars and never had a problem. Can't wait to play around!
