Thanks for the clarification. I always thought that Wharton was part of Burlington/Ocean but not Camden.

According to this site, it states that Wharton State forest is in Camden county. I always thought it was Burlington.

Of the people I remember most about the Pines, Indian Ann is right up there with the rest.

There's a brand new one right at the Sparta train station they were attempting to restore. Unfortunately, the funding was cut so all that's left is some new wiring and a new toilet.

I agree with the exception of one time. I got lost and wound up at some military installtion with NO TRESPASSING "BOMBING AREA" I had to go back what appeared to be at least a mile in reverse.

I was looking at the Delorme map and noticed that, according to the map, the tracks are missing from just north of Atsion to where it picks us where they start again just south of Carranza. I wonder if this is accurate? If so, how did the tracks disappear? Where they removed or wash out. Hmm

I wish there were still trains that ran in the Pines. What fun it must have been to explore where it is real quiet only to hear the CNJ or Conrail approaching. I'm with you my man. Imagine being out there along the Forked River pulling moss and hearing the forlorn whistle of the ol' Engine...

Barry and I were there last year when I we first noticed this. He had written or called someone on the PB Commission, I believe but when the person spoke to Barry, the person didn't even know where this site or road was.
