    GPS advice

Garmin's books and most of the websites I'visited w/ GARMIN tips mention how slow the directional arrow is when walking in the woods. I don't use it. I prefer to let the unit draw the track on the map screen [e-trex legend] and zoom in and out as needed until I find a waypoint as reference. I...

    1989 Chevy S-10 Blazer

My 1988 pickup has almost 300,000 miles [100,000 on a new engine since 9/2001] and is rusting away now...still runs great. I now have my dad's old GMC Jimmy, a 1993 w/ 140,000 and I'm trying to keep ahead of the rust... They are great trucks if you have your own tools and the time to keep...

    For the hunters

That 8 foot fence won't stop him if he WANTS to leave...With the right motivation a deer can easily clear 8 feet... PA DCNR was building deer exclosures to allow forest regeneration w/ out too much browsing by the deer population. They placed gates made of orange painted rebar & hinged at...

    Better Lyme Tests

The current tests are better than those first developed. I had one last fall after finding a smaller tick firmy attatched and it came back negative. Back when I had Lyme in the 80's they used to tell us to watch out for the rash & flu symptoms as the original test would always show positive from...

    For the hunters

I'll say 1.5 to 2.5 yrs. anything older would have larger G1 & G2 tines sticking up maybe twice as far as his do. More mature deer seem to have a wider and shorter muzzle. Once you see that it's hard to miss.

A question for long time cherry hill residents

They hang in bachelor 'groups' as their antlers develope and the closer to the 'rut' the more they start developing their position in the 'pecking' order until the nights shorten & the velvet dies and they start polishin' their beams & split up to chase doe...

Tabernacle gun club seeking a liquor license

I think a 'club' license is like the ones held by the VFW, Am Legion, Elks, Etc. that allows wet functions including catering to weding receptions, etc. Maybe they're gonna spruce the place up and have hall rentals...that could be lucrative.

    Paintball Legality?

I dunno WHAT ABOUT THE LAW? Depending on the township's weapons discharge ordinances; using paintball guns, outside of organized [insured] places, may be considered a weapons violation. NJ has some strange ideas about guns, BB's and Paint Ball variety included!

    Who plays quoits and how?

Growing up in Easton, we were close enough to the slate belt to have indoor quoits using hard rubber rings about the same size as 'trenton quiots' using a one inch thick slate board w/ a hardwood rizer screwed to the back and a chrome pin in the center of the slate which had concentric white...
