Easy to see why so many people around here confuse the water moccasin with the northern water snake, very similar dark colors. Easiest way for me to differ is that we dont have the moccasins here, but people will swear we do.

They still saying Tuesday afternoon? Got some plans outside in the morning. Last I saw was 3-5 inches in our parts Tues afternoon and night and possibly another inch Weds morning.

I visit a buddy outside of Quakertown PA in early May and we usually find lots of them. He is the expert though. Never saw them in the pines, but maybe they are here. My neighbor does shroom hunting locally in the pines, but I dont know what kind they are. I will ask and let you know.

Yah, unfortunately Im up at our place in the Adirondacks a lot and NY prob has the 2nd toughest gun laws in the country. If I even get pulled over with my handguns in the truck there I have to tell them Im passing through to VT, where its all good:D
