That's ridiculous. The state parks already have the home-owners firewood program to thin out old growth. The spots fill up every year and thousands of trees come down that need to, and it serves a dual purpose for forests and wood burners. This bill is just another money laundering scheme...

So true. My only objection to the killing is the waste of meat while some people are starving. I know we're not the most rural state, but we certainly do our share of wasting meat.

Fall bow actually started Oct 1. I believe the NJCF land you mention is in fact huntable, so he was perfectly legal, as long as he had a bow. A firearm would be a different story.
