    Hi Nancy, There is a lot of slag around Hampton Furnace but I don't think you could mistake slag for iron, which cannon balls would be made of. Slag is generally glass like and iron is, well, iron. It would be interesting to see the photo. Steve

    I don't think so. You can't get many people in this country to do some of the work they do. They are an integeral part of this economy and always will be. The Mexicans in this area, not all illegal by the way, are about the hardest workers I've ever seen. Steve
