    What's Your Favorite Gear?

Camera! Gotta have a camera. I also like my trekking pole as it is good for poking and prodding, keeping balance and it doubles as a mono pod for the camera. Of course hiking boots for dry areas. Not brand specific, just any I can find that fit my huge feet. Hip waders (mine are now knee waders...

Penn State Forest to Lower Forge

Nice report. It's great getting into the swamps, isn't it? Blisters sure can put a damper on things. That's why I always put band-aids on before I even start and carry plenty of spares. The last time I hiked with wet feet it did not cause any blisters. It actually felt cool and refreshing. Steve

    Chatsworth Club......

Wow! Hard to believe that anything that big was ever in Chatsworth. In a way I think that its a good thing that it did not last. Can you imagine what Chatsworth would be like today if the rich and famous had kept a foothold there? Steve

    Oh deer!

Driving down Hampton Rd near sunset I happened upon this guy/gal. Didn't have time to set my camera right so the pix is really bad but it does show what I find interesting about this deer. As you can see it has white or light grey hind quarters. Is this some sort of mutation or perhaps old age...

    Chatsworth Club......

The "Italian Prince" would be Napolian Bonaparte's nephew. I believe he either came from or moved to Bordentown. I'm not too sure about that story about Lebanon. Steve

    D'ye fancy Scotch whisky?

I'm no connoisseur. Just a consumer. I always though that Jack Daniels went through less processing than bourbon. I always figured it was my job to do the final processing. Steve

    D'ye fancy Scotch whisky?

Oh I don't know Dave. It so happens that my favorite "shootin' whiskey" is Jack Daniels. As you know it is a sour mash and not bourbon. Now when it comes to being a little more refined my choice is scotch on the rocks. I do enjoy the single malts but blends are just fine with me as I think the...

    Good luck or bad luck?

I think that is cool when that happens. I see lots of signs in the Pines that are being absorbed by trees. Steve
