    Carranza and Along the JCRR

Guy, I had seen the plaque while driving by it last week. Maybe someone removed it to get a good shot of the monument. I think that the plaque was located in a poor location in that it would block good shots of the monument. Steve

    Kayaking this weekend

It's not that I'm not interested, it's just that I can't. I bought myself a kayak as an early birthday present last month and have only used it once. I'm itching to get out again. Steve

Yes it is and starting at Hawkins Bridge it is farely wide. However I just realized that I just recovered from the worlds longest brain fart. It is the Oswego that has low water not the Batsto. Sorry about that. Man it stinks around here. Steve

    Kayaking this weekend

The Wading is always a good bet. You can put in at Hawkins Bridge and there are a few places to take out. First would be Godfrey's Bridge, about 2 to 2.5 hrs. Then there is Allens Bridge where the Wading crosses under Rt563, about 3 to 3.5 hrs. Last is Beaver Branch not to far past Bodines...

Then and Now.....The Accident of the Blue Comet Train

Nice report Guy. I remember that clear area from our Parker Preserve hike. I walked around in there and was wondering why it was clear. Just to let you know, your photos of the accident scene poles are small and very pixelated and you really can't make anything out. Steve

    Black Bear in Atlantic City!!

LOL, I guess I'm an idiot too. I once split a pair of queens when the dealer was showing a king. The people at the table yelled at me but I didn't mind. I drew a jack on one and an ace on the other(not blackjack). The dealer had 19. I usually play by my own rules and do ok. Oh, and cards are...

    Alloway's Rock

I'm sure there is mention of it here. I've just never heard it refered to as Alloway's Rock. I always refered to it as the monument at Friendship. So, who was the woman that was writing a book? Steve
