    The "Mutha" of all cedars.

Been following the "other" Cedar forum & this one. By far the cedars are my favorites, the tall the small etc. In the wood or the swamp or sand all the same to me. I have a distinctly crusty model in my back yard among some others that I call the old man. They just speak "old" to me, really...

Kicking around & looking for answers

I was off Friday & had to go to Ft. Dix on the base for a short visit in the morning. After I was done I intended to knock around but, still not feeling great from a bedridding flu I decided to tromp closer to home. That and the fact that there were many hunter type fellows out there & I am not...

    Sawmills

Is this on that little trail just next to Rusnaks & across from SandyCause ?? It kind of wraps around to Grasso's field back by the tracks?? That would put it somewhere around Albertson's branch real close East of Iron Mills which you had asked me about on Saturday. Iron Mills would have been...

    Sawmills

Found One As suspected after I asked my dad about the block on the Homestead in Elm he did verify it to be a base for a motor driven saw only a couple hundred yards from the J.C. on Fleming Pike. He gave me some more info to run with past his father's purchase of the property in 1949.He told me...

    Paintball: good, bad, or ugly?

I have seen many of these "bunkers" & "forts" in the woods. Some I think very close to me, almost across the street from REDNECK350. An excuse to bring more crap into the woods. Even seen signs of booze & fire.

At least 54 bears bagged: Hunt attracts protesters seeking to help wounded bruins

I don't hunt, had the occasion to try bear though. Found it dark, and yes.....Greeezy. I guess it really is in the preparing.Stew sounds safe. I also had bear sausage, blended of course. That was a disaster.

    Paintball: good, bad, or ugly?

Should just stick to areas & parks designated for them. Disrupts the environment. ( this coming from a quad guy ? )

    Anyone into genealogy research?

Badfish, Research, research, research !!!! All of the above & more !!! There are plenty of mediums for this that cost you little to nothing. Go back, way back, we all do when you think about it. This last couple hundred years ago is a drop in time bud. I was thrilled to find that one of my...

    Sawmills

These things may answer a question that perplexed me alot over the years. On my granfather's farm in Elm. ( long since now out of operation and very let down ) There is a good sized one of these. I always thought it was one big hunk of stone but it could have been a cast of some sort. I think it...

    New rules target geese problems

Didn't realize this was that much of a problem, although there are a good Bit of them out my way hunters or not. It does seem that like many animals they do go for easy pickin's and the downed corn fields etc., & "safe" areas for them would most certainly be appealing.

    Silver Fox Inn

And there's the funny part.... Every now & then, but rarely, you get that. Makes it all the more curious don't it. Normally you would see this during one of the "parties" Maybe they're reviving the old scene ( doubt it )

I did at least confirm with a friend in Hammonton about the airfield. I can see no trace of it on Google Maps or Topo. Even my friend can not remember the family name that owns it now. You should have went inside, it's like being on a different planet !! A twighlite zone episode at the least.

    Silver Fox Inn

On the more serious side I might not have actually answered the question regarding it's past. Just a little of the present. My family is originally from the area so I know a little. Any one may feel free to correct. I believe That fox runs ( hunts ) used to be run out of there, years ago my...
