    Old Half Way

Ben, Back in the day it was a major party place. If you went there on a Friday or Saturday night or any night in the summer, it would not be unusual to find 40 or 50 people there. I camped and partied there many times. I can't believe I used to take my Dad's '70 Olds 98 out there. Maybe...

    Old Half Way

Guy, I took almost that very same shot of that car in the lake last week when I was there. When I was there yesterday there was a new wreck at the east lake that was not there last week. Looks like someone had a lot of fun with it. Steve

    Nice trip yesterday

Ben, I have a Ford Escape. My buddy has an explorer and also bottomed out on the culverts. Actually I'm using TopoUSA 3.0. It's neat how you can put your tracks on it to see where you've been. Steve

    Nice trip yesterday

Ben, It was only about 1' at the deepest. The sand was very soft so we had to go kind of fast to get through. That made us bottom out on the culverts. I took it a little slower on the way back and still hit. Steve

    Nice trip yesterday

My friends and I had a great trip yesterday. The weather was perfect. I've added some pix to my album. Here's a pix at FRM. I'm in the back with the white hat. From FRM we tried to go to Aserdaten but ran into a couple of obsticals. First a washed out road. We went over but it was rough...

    Plastic Bridge

I was just at the Plastic Bridge on Sunday. I had never been there before. The water was almost touching the bottom. Is that normal?

    Knock knock

Guy, thanks for the reply. I guess I'm just itching for info. As far as which area I travel: Recently it has been Wharton S.F. There seems to be a lot more interesting places than the Lebanon/Greenwood area. I do still enjoy going into Greenwood W.M.A. though. I like going to...

    Knock knock

Knock knock Who's there Nobody! What's up with this site? This format is far superior to Yahoo Groups. It's faster and easier to navigate. I grow older waiting for pages to load on Yahoo and I'm using broadband! Is there anything that can be done to get more action here?

    Washington

Would a sign like this help or hinder Washington? http://www.njpinebarrens.com/albums/album43/aaa.thumb.jpg I know the wording would need to be changed.

    PC feature

Funny you should ask. I just down-loaded Opera7 today out of curiousity. This site looks just the same as on IE6. Steve PS. It seems a tad faster.

    Washington

I agree that restoring these sites is not probable. I was thinking more along the lines of preserving them. Looking at the photos of the stables at Washington I would say they have degraded by at least 75% in 66 years. How long until the stable is just anothe cellar hole? I wonder what...

It's amazing what 66 years can do. Is there anything that can be done to preserve these sites? http://www.njhm.com/mullinerstable.htm

Guy, Well it seems we started around the same time, albeit for different reasons. Around '72-'73, me and my group of friends started partying at 'Hidden Lakes'. Are you familiar with that area? It's off Rt72 near the tressle in what is now the Greenwood wildlife Management Area. It was a pretty...

Guy, Yes I get out there as oftenest as I can. I was out last Sunday so I either love the Pines or I'm insane, not sure which. LOL Yeah, that's my Ford Escape in the pix, maybe you've seen it out there. I often ride with a friend who has an Explorer of the same color(green). Now...
