The bridge that goes over the bog area. Signs state that the trail is closed...Bridge is unsafe. I recall a road wood sign near the trail. I'll have to go back and look at pics. I haven't uploaded them to my main computer yet.

Yea, I had no issues with chiggers last Friday there. I thought I saw the whole preserve. I was definitely wrong. I maybe saw 1/3. Definitely going back to check out. Thanks ScubaBruce. I usually bring my little one with me. He's too young to be in a paddle. Trust me will be something I will...

    batona trail hike

Observation "towers" are usually just a small deck to go bird watching. The trails are pretty easy. I used a stroller. If you go off the main trails its a bit more rustic and a little more difficult to trek through. Lined with pine needles, sticks, and the occasional spider web you'll go...

    batona trail hike

Nope can check it out on your own. It is pretty neat. A bit small. Literally explored every crevice in 1 1/2 to 2 hours, but is pretty. The map is neat that you can download and explains the history and the ages of the trees. I never heard of it either, until I started doing research about our...

I dunno Muskin.... Think you are the EffinGenius per your paragraph above. I'm trying to understand and get acquainted with the plant life. I am a master gardener, but have no clue when it comes to the Pineys. It's a whole different universe.

film still seeking new and old Pine Barrens stories

Haha!! I'm totally gay, a nerd. It is what it is. Well, as to the above with the questions about the pines. It seems to be a make out spot and I have witnessed or have been of witness to some almost Piney porn. I guess people take it literally... About pitching the pine.

film still seeking new and old Pine Barrens stories

Dude I'm sorry to say that not much happens in the pines. It is peaceful, lovely, and refreshing. It brings me back at least twice a week and live at least 45 minutes away, but it's my heaven and piece of paradise. I will treasure it always. Yes, I am being gay.

    Could Use Some Help

Hiking in the Pines is probably not a nude place to wander, but hey it is a freeing place. There's great areas to explore. I can't get enough of the solace and the beauty. I absolutely love it and feel at peace whenever I go. It is at least 2x a week.

I use to be acrobatic, haha. However, sure as hell not like cat woman. Thanks Muskin. Did the trails at Atsion today and was just wonderful. Truly beautiful. 5 with no breaks would be tough with the monkey. So you are probably accurate on the entire day thing. I truly appreciate the feedback...

    batona trail hike

That is crazy. They got hit bad with these storms. Oops wasn't finished the computer lagged me out. Okay. So I guess with the bridge out it is still safe to cross. I don't have knee highs unless I'm going out to a club or something and I'm sure those wouldn't work for the woods anyways. The...

    batona trail hike

Found this and wish to do it. Any info prior would be appreciated. This would be the longest hike as of Yet. However, seems pretty manageable with the all terrain stroller. Also, question on Wading River down the road from Mick's near the bridge and small beach wondering if any good trails back...

    Could Use Some Help

They LOVE me. Poor kid has some on his face. I try to do my best to protect the little devil. I didn't know they could be so vicious there. They are the size of small welts in some areas and really can't believe I was attacked through my clothing. Btw, Teegate if you are listening.... found...
