ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

Good. My first observation is that you'd need to have balls made of steel to do what that NJ Park Police officer is doing. One officer vs. five guys in the middle of nowhere? I'd be terrified. Kudos to that officer. Second observation, the barricades that were being put up are wholly...

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

It's not anecdotal. It was in an email from Carleton Montgomery to Rob Auermuller that was made public and is also a bullet point on the PPA's ORV page: As to your second point about how many people would go wherever in the pines if they had to hike a mile... I think that was part of the point.

I'm sure there's plenty of rebalancing that can be done to bring under utilized resources from other parks into Wharton. Government is not known for finding efficiencies, and bureaucracy forces a lot of inertia. I think the best thing that came out of the MAP is that it lit a fire under the DEP...

Anybody want to write an article or review of something?

Thanks. It doesn't even need to be a historic topic. It could be a review of a hiking trail (like I did for one of the Parker Preserve trails last summer) or something along those lines.

Anybody want to write an article or review of something?

I'd like to get the front page of the site back to the point where it's interesting and not like it's flooded by someone writing angry manifestos. I have a few ideas for things I'd like to write, but if you've got an idea and a desire to write, I'd love to publish it. ^ This has been me for...

Ignorance of the law doesn't mean that you're not responsible. We all know someone who got nailed for a speeding ticket coming out of a 40mph zone and the 25mph sign was covered by a bush. The fines and, hopefully, impounding and crushing of the vehicles of repeat offenders will hopefully serve...

Apple opposes Judge's order to unlock shooter's phone

Try Virtualbox. It's free. It's what I and most other Mac users at work use for virtualization now.

It would be nice to get paid to go to these kinds of things like some people I know. (Hint: It's Carleton.)

    Favorite/Coolest Place in the Pines

For whatever reason I'm really drawn to the bridge ruins at Mary Ann Furnace. Just typing that makes me want to go there - it's been a few years. I also like this savannah looking area in the Forked River Mountains because it's very scenic and picturesque.

Turns out they emailed me the invite but it bounced. I'm assuming that they put an extra S or T in my last name. Story of my life. Edit: I ought to start using the Long Island Piney pronunciation of Ruset.

Jeep Jamboree 2016 – WOW! IT IS FINALLY COMING!!!!!

I thought there was an issue with them deviating from their route a few years ago and the reason why they have not been back in Wharton since was Rob not approving their permit. The cynic in me wants to say that Rob probably approved the permit this year just to give the pro-MAP people some...

I don't think this should be going on in the forest this year (at least.)

Guy was, but I wasn't. That's fine because I wouldn't have been able to make it and would have asked Guy to go instead.
