Deep In The Woods At Deep Run

I just there about a month and a half ago with my son. Having past it a million times, it was really the first time I really poked around in there.

No, I decided to cut it. She was happy when I did though. Having hair that long is a lot of work. Takes forever to dry, people mistake you for a girl sometimes when you're driving, gets all knotted up when you ride a motorcycle, got caught in a car door once...that was embarassing.

Thanks Al. The singer died under suspicious circumstances. His family has not been very forth coming about the official cause. He was a real good guy, but he had some issues. Perhaps I will fill you sometime on a hike. Jeff

    Music for the day

Thought you all might get a kick out of this. My old bass player from a cover band I was in in the early 2000's just uploaded some old footage of us. In the off season (not summer) we played locally. This was us at the Indian Chief Tavern on route 70. We are doing Heartbreaker by Led Zep...

is fishing allowed in the parker preserve

Ed is correct, Strom. It is north of Speedwell. it is right where Teegate marked it on the map. The thing is, it is gated and you are not allowed to drive in. If you walk it, there is a shelter there and a little dock. I've fished from the dock a bunch of times. I've caught pickerel there...

Strom, you are allowed to fish in the Parker preserve. They didn't allow it at first but now they do.

    Sasquatch in the Pines

Ahhhh, that was funny! Yeah, Gabe, as Dogg was saying that is a pretty major point they made about it. I suspect it is supplemented by run off from the hills that surround it, and having a thick clay base that retains the water. But I recall Bob and I and Guy and Al examined the feeder stream...

    Sasquatch in the Pines

Great info, Guy. I imagine the watering place, being one of few natural ponds in the barrens (as opposed to spungs), was a rarity appreciated by early americans (and indians before them). The name most certainly depicts this as a popular watering spot for horses and perhaps to fill water jugs...

    Sasquatch in the Pines

:DFair enough. I think running into a bigfoot would certainly be quite an experience, and I promise that you will be the first to hear of it. Good luck with your quest.

    Sasquatch in the Pines

Adam, I appreciate your detailed response. This is really a fruitless disscussion I suppose since I can't prove it doesn't exist and you can't prove it does. Clearly you are very interested in this pursuit and as far as I can see, this interest doesn't adversly affect anyone else. Therefore...

    Hit and Run

It's a half full, half empty thing, Bob. The first car that hit her did stop. Also, the wife of the deceased shopper stated that six nurses who were shopping there came to his aid almost immeditely. Nascar, someone once said to me "times change, people don't". I think of this everytime I...

    Sasquatch in the Pines

Adam, Considering that bigfoot's existence in the pacific NW has been discounted by the entire scientific community (save for a very few). And the most contraversial evidence has been proven to be a hoax; why do you think there is some possibility of a bigfoot living in NJ of all places? Is...
