    canoe trip

Guests/friends are always welcome! Although I haven't been able to talk my friends into canoeing. They all have power boats and think it's too much work. It's tough finding a shuttle ride. (My gf doesn't drive.) Got a car?? I have 2 extra canoes and equipment, if anyone is interested in...

    canoe trip

(Whether or not the original poster reappears) I'm pretty sure there is a badge for Boy Scout's for canoeing 50 miles. I don't believe there is one continuous river in the Pines 50 miles long. The longest may be the Great Egg Harbor River, if you have anything left after that you could head...

    Tuckerton Fish Factory

Thanks for the pics and report. Be careful out on the cold water. I hope you wearing your pfd. I have been fishing around there many times since the mid 70's and always wondered what was up there. Stu, There is a house on an island about a quarter mile out in the bay west of Beach Haven...

    Pine Barren Glory Days

Great stories guy's! I had an '83' Honda Cr 480. I can attest first hand that are one torquey SOB. My first ride on it I was waiting for a car to pass to cross a road, once the road was clear I revved it up and dumped the clutch. The same way I always did it with my Yz 125. Well let me...

    Abandoned racetracks.

I've heard rumors of New Egypt Speedway trying to get the clay but were stopped from doing so because of contamination at EWS.

    Apple Pie Hill

Me, my gf, and our dog, made our first trip to Apple Pie Hill and did our first hiking on the Batona trail Sunday. I had no clue where we were going other than directions I wrote down from looking at Google earth. It's amazing how the trees hide it. I was pretty sure we were close to APH...

    Camping on Delaware Water Gap

I meant to add when it gets a little warmer out. LOL It's legal to camp along the river, as long as you leave the beer at home. There are several marked NPS camp sites that are only accessible by water.

    Camping on Delaware Water Gap

    Abandoned racetracks.

Damn shame they let EWS die/ fall apart. Friday nights will never be the same to some. Twas a good friday night from time to time watching the races at EWS and enjoying a frosty dozen.:guinness::dance: It's a shame the housing development behind the track (and from what I heard the A-Hole...

    Going off-trail

This rule is most important with marked hiking trails, dirt roads, atv trails and popular areas. You should try and stay on the trail or road to preserve them and the surrounding area. Walking through the woods where there is no trail is ok. If a few people hike through the woods where...

    Blow-out Tide on the Mullica

Wow that definitely blown out, losing that much water. That is the first time I have ever seen it happen that way. I have only seen it the other way when the wind blows the water in causing flooding. Very cool uncovering all that history and how it has withstood the test of time.

Loading 2 different maps in a Garmin?

Thanks Boyd for taking the time to explain that. I totally understand what you are saying. Maybe you should consider offering your services to Best Buy. The salesman there were clueless as to how the GPS's operated............Mike

Loading 2 different maps in a Garmin?

I checked out the link to the Garmin topo software above. It would be nice to get the cd but if I had to use the card it's not a big deal as one card would cover my main area of interest. So when you say the topo maps can't do routing, does this mean you cant enter a location and navigate...
