That is just southeast of the dike that broke last year.

    Chopping down a tree?

I can't assume to think why somebody would try this. I found this in one of the main areas of Stafford Forge. Somebody hacked away and then burned this fairly old and good sized tree. The area near here is just strewn with recent trash and television boxes. :-(

    This Weekend at Stafford Forge

All my macro shots are taken with a Canon SD400 point and shoot. You only need a steady hand and patience.

Thanks everyone. Yes, I have the ID to most things on my flickr page. These were taken this summer in Warren Grove and Stafford Forge. The first one is a Black Swallowtail Papilio and the second (with the red head) is Datana Major: Larvae.

All she lost: My sister's battle with Lyme disease

Thanks for the advice and help everyone. I made an appointment with Dr. Streit. He could only see me ten days from now. Does anyone with experience in this think that is too long to wait to be put on antibiotics?

All she lost: My sister's battle with Lyme disease

I will keep an eye on the bite and see if the rash appears. It is already red, swollen and painful. I got the address and phone number of the doctor mentioned above. Thanks.

All she lost: My sister's battle with Lyme disease

Here it is. It is almost 2/16's of an inch long. I think it is a deer tick.

All she lost: My sister's battle with Lyme disease

So I woke up this morning with a pain in my neck. I walked to the bathroom expecting to find a pimple but to my horror it was a tick burrowed deep. Ten hours later there is a small rash and the area is sensitive and actually hurts. I have the tick, still alive, in a jar. My question is, can I...
